Payment policy

PUPPY PAYMENT

If we have an available Rottweiler puppy for sale and you wish to purchase this available Rottweiler, the purchase price is due in full. Deposits and payment plans are not available on Rottweiler puppies available now. Rottweilers are required to be paid in full before they are transferred to their new owner. If you wish to purchase a Rottweiler from an upcoming litter that is not yet born, you will need to join DKV Rottweiler’s waiting list.

NOTE: Angel, the breeder of DKV Rottweilers, always has priority to keep and/or refuse the sale of any Rottweiler produced in our kennel.

WAITING LIST

A deposit is required to join DKV Rottweilers waiting list. This deposit will be deducted from your Rottweiler purchase price. Once this payment is received, it is a commitment by the Purchaser to DKV Rottweilers, and is therefore non-refundable. Once you are placed on DKV’s waiting list, you become DKV family and will be provided with priority service including officially being placed on DKV Rottweiler’s waiting list, being updated with exclusive information on upcoming litters, and having the opportunity to reserve a Rottweiler puppy before the public. The deposit date will determine Purchaser’s placement on DKV’s waiting list. This placement position will remain valid for up to 24 months.

When a litter is born, DKV Rottweilers will contact each Purchaser on our waiting list, in the order payments were received. Once contacted, the Purchaser can reserve the next available Rottweiler puppy, or the Purchaser can choose to remain on the waiting list. If the Purchaser chooses to reserve the next available Rottweiler puppy, the remaining Rottweiler puppy balance is due in full. Once the entire waiting list is contacted, any remaining puppies for sale will be offered to the public.

PAYMENT METHOD

Starting January 1, 2024, DKV Rottweilers will be upgrading our payment platform to Square. Square will provide more opportunities to accept payments by invoice, by phone, in person, and integrate more seamlessly with our existing websites. Square accepts all major credit cards with an online service fee of 3% (2.9% + $0.30), equivalent to other competitive platforms. Square also allows for new payment services including ACH Bank Transfer, Cash App Pay, and Gift Cards. In addition, Square allows BNPL payment methods allowing customers to pay in four interest-free installments, available with DKV gear purchases. Square is safe, secure, and one of the leading payment platforms used by businesses, and we are proud to be using Square exclusively.

PAYMENT PLAN

If needed, customers can request a payment plan while on DKV’s waiting list. This allows a Purchaser to pay down their balance over time, making their final payment more manageable when a Rottweiler becomes available for sale. We are flexible on payment amount and payment date; however, we do ask that payments be a minimum of $100/mo. and not larger than $500/mo. If approved, payment plans can total up to half the Rottweiler purchase price. This allows us to responsibly withstand the incessant needs of our kennel and home.

DKV CREDIT

When a Purchaser chooses to send a payment to DKV Rottweilers, Angel Gutierrez, and/or Liz Gutierrez, the Purchaser understands this is a commitment to our kennel and is therefore non-refundable. If the Purchaser changes their mind for whatever reason and chooses not to proceed with purchasing a Rottweiler puppy, all payment(s) already received on or after the date in which the Purchaser joined our waiting list are still non-refundable. Instead, all payments received will transfer to a credit with DKV Rottweilers and this DKV credit will remain valid for as long as DKV Rottweilers remains in business. This means, if you choose to purchase a DKV Rottweiler five months later, or five years later, your credit with DKV Rottweilers will be deducted from your Rottweiler’s full purchase price at the time of purchase. If Purchaser returns after 24 months, their position in line on the waiting list will be reset.

MISCELLANEOUS

This is a policy interruption. If you have made it this far, kudos to you. I take a lot of time building my websites, and I appreciate it when people take the time to read our website policy. Not only does it show you are responsible and care where your Rottweiler comes from, I believe it is also a reflection of the responsible care you will provide for our DKV Rottweiler. We appreciate your effort and want to make sure we recognize and consider your questionnaire. When you complete our buyer questionnaire form, you will see a question asking if you have any questions about our payment policy. Please type in the keyword: superman, so we can prioritize your response. Back to our payment policy.

ONLINE SECURITY

We understand the significance of purchasing a Rottweiler for your family. Nowadays, you need to be extra cautious when making purchases online. As a result, we want to teach safety precautions to look for, to assure your hard-earned money remains safe.

Are you working with a real breeder? This seems like a dumb question, but many people are quick to believe they are dealing with a legit breeder, simply because they received some puppy photos. Unfortunately, online photos are stolen all the time. We have had many people, even other breeders, steal our Rottweiler photos online. This is why we now add logos to each one. So, how do you know if the puppy you think you are purchasing is from the person you are communicating with? Do a Google photo search. You can upload a photo and Google will show you all the websites that the specific photo is shown on. You might learn that the photo is from a real breeder somewhere far away. Here at DKV Rottweilers, we post many photos of our Rottweilers on our websites, many videos of our Rottweiler on our YouTube channel, and even add photos of every DKV delivery on our Facebook page. This will not only show we are real breeders, but you will see our clientele with your own eyes.

Is the website an official website? Was the website recently purchased? Is the website super vague from a free site platform? Does the site have a domain name? How long has the domain name been owned? How do you know? Right click on the website and click “View Source”. Go to “Whois” and see how long the domain has been owned. I personally would avoid any advertisements on Social Media or in online Breed Groups. This seems to be one of the most dangerous places to search for legitimate breeders. DKV Rottweilers has had the same website and domain name for over 27 years.

Is the email a business email or is it a free email address? Now, there are many businesses that may still use free accounts such as AOL, YAHOO, GMAIL, etc., but a professional business should be willing to purchase a business email. This means the business domain name will be the email suffix. DKV Rottweilers email address is contact@DKVRottweilers.com. Our website domain address is located after the @ showing it is the paid provider.

Are you dealing with a live person in the USA? Does your breeder only want to communicate through email or text? Are they willing to speak with you over the phone and provide references? Phone interviews are a great way to learn about the person you are doing business with. If they claim to be located near you, ask them about the area. Ask them for a local reference. DKV Rottweilers schedules a phone interview with every potential customer. Our phone number is (404) 850-9992 EST and it has been the same number for over 15 years. References are also always available.

What is the requested payment method? If someone is asking you to pay with Western Union, Money Gram, Walmart to Walmart, Money Cards, etc., that should be a huge red flag. Once your payment is made with these mentioned methods, your transaction is final and cannot be reversed. DKV Rottweilers exclusively used PayPal for 20 years and we have now upgraded to Square in 2024. Square is one of the most trusted and leading payment platforms for small businesses. We understand wanting to avoid paying credit card service fees, but we feel the additional fee charged by these platforms should be worth the peace-of-mind knowing your payment is safe and secure.
